We were looking for a new dim sum restaurant to try and found this dim sum . Dim sum was good often but can have hits and misses. We tried the shrimp dumpling, siu mai, congress, rice noodles, beef tribes, chives dumpling. The special dish fried noodles was wonderful one time and so so the other time (see picture). The waiter and waitress are friendly and responsive. This restaurant is more Canton style than Hong Kong style. Recommend if you are looking for a new dim sum restaurant to try. The $35 for two fish dishes makes a good deal. We have experienced some hits and misses, and wonder if there maybe a team A and team B for the restaurant.

Dim sum in Daly City, Serramonte area. Dim sum was very good at a reasonable price. The Chinese broccoli was well prepared and delicious. The glutinous sticky rice with chicken in lotus leave was very good with Chinese style sausage. And the baked durian puff was acceptable. We have visit this place lately and the food quality has gone down. The shrimp dumplings now seems to have very little dumplings and the special chicken on dry leaves we ordered the half chicken but it seems that they mixed other vegetables and reduced the amount of chicken

Don’t come. Nothing is fresh here. Service is awful. The chicken feet taste like it’s rotten already. Veggies have no flavor basically. Ordered Panda shaped bao they don’t have it so just decided to give us blank bao. What do you mean you don’t have it? Probably because they don’t have the frozen stock for that. Even shrimp dumpling which is the most common dim sum dish tastes awfully and also looked awfully 🤯. Please don’t come here, the food IS NOT FRESH and the taste is bad. I’ve visited 5+ dim sum places in Bay Area, and this is the absolutely worst one.

Standard Chinese restaurant serving traditional Chinese food on Gellert next to the 7 Eleven, Woo Hao translates to "hoh hoh sihk jao louw" in Cantonese from the chinese characters. They took over from that old, dark, and tired Chinese place. "Fung Wong", as I recall, that had been there for years.

They offer dim sim, lunch items, and dinner service. They even have some tanks for keeping live seafood.

We went here for dim sum with some chow fun and fried rice noodles as a "main course.". OveralI,we would give the food a B with some B minuses thrown in. The chow fun was well prepared, but the fried rice noodles were too oily.

One main characteristic of the food is that many items seem to be slightly undercooked. It's as if they took things off the burner, out of the wok or steamer, or out of oven 30 seconds too early. Everything looks good on the outside, but when you take a bite, you realize that it was just a bit underdone. That was our experience. I'm not sure if others had the same issue
The dining room is moderately sized. Parking can be a problem as the parking lot is small and neighborhood parking is taken by the residents in the area.

Woo Hao is certainly not a destination restaurant, but if you're looking for decent and traditional Chinese fare after finishing shopping at Serramonte mall, give Woo Hao a try.... if you can find a place to park.

It's been a place I've been to growing up. Formerly known as Fung Wong, we'd come here after visiting the cemeteries. The new remodel is very clean and bright. Prices were affordable and didn't break the bank.

Food was decent. The egg tart was the best. Food came out quick and lots of staffs. Would come here again.

New chinese restaurant in daly city with a small parking lot. I used to go here when it was the dim sum restaurant but it’s completely new and remodeled. It’s now nice and bright inside and very clean with many tables. They definitely upped the quality and ambiance. We came on a Tuesday night and there were plenty of tables available. The service was quick and attentive. They served jasmine green tea immediately. The owner recommended the sea bass and suggested different ways of cooking it. We ordered it fried with sweet and sour sauce. We also ordered the walnut shrimp and yang chow fried rice.
We loved the fish. We got their smallest one, which was a little over 2lbs. I thought I was going to be deterred by the little bones, but it was amazing. The skin was lightly fried and was so tasty. It went really well with the sweet and sour sauce. Even though there were bones, they were very easy to pull out as the meat was fresh and cooked perfectly. The walnut shrimp was also really tasty and went well with the fried rice. The fried rice came with lots of bouncy shrimp and bits of bbq pork. We finished all the food between 3 people. I noticed a table next to us ordered a clay pot and it came out really fast so i hope to try that next time. They also gave a free dessert at the end!
Overall I was really impressed with the food. Our total was about 90 including tip. It may be a little more expensive for chinese food, but the quality and service was definitely worth it. Go and try out this new place!

To sum up the food quality at this place. Go buy the pre-made dim sum at Ranch 99 and you will have a better experience. Why come here and pay $6 to $9 per order for something half price yet better from Ranch 99? Service is average as the manager occasionally yells at the poor waitress and other staffs. The ceiling tiles above the entrance were about to fall but nobody seemed to care. Anyway, I am not coming back for sure.
