JR is the rare massage therapist who
1) really knows insertion points of muscles so that he can relieve the pain at the location of the pain as well as the areas that might be triggering the pain or discomfort, and
2) continues to hone his craft with continuing education.
I am confident that I'm getting a massage therapist who is well-trained and dedicated to making his clients feel more relaxed and lighter after each session. He really tailors his sessions to your needs and checks in frequently to make adjustments. As time has gone on, we haven't needed such frequent checks.

We have great chats during our sessions, but when I've wanted a quieter session, he obliges. He has a sense for the vibe you're looking for without asking.

It's a no frills massage location, so if you're looking for a more fancy spa experience, Postjur might not be what you're looking for. However, if you want an excellent massage from a well-trained massage therapist with some spa-like elements (like the hot steamed towel at the end of the session), then JR is the person for you!

JR is a very talented and skilled deep tissue massage therapist. I’m in my mid 40s and my body is definitely more creaky than it used to be. Going to see JR for some of my musculoskeletal issues over the past year on a monthly basis has:
1) Helped alleviate some chronic shoulder pain from an injury
2) Contributed to greatly reduced incidences of migraine headaches (I’ve also started taking B2 and magnesium supplements per MD’s recommendation)
3) ID’d some areas I need to concentrate on for stretching to improve general function

One thing I really appreciate about JR is that although he already knows so much, he often goes to seminars and workshops to add to his knowledge and techniques.

He is also very personable, friendly and follows up on issues beyond “the usual” things I ask him to work on. Really appreciate having him in my corner to help me age well!

JR is the best massage therapist. He's very professional and caring. Always making sure you are comfortable and explaining things with great detail if you are interested. I have chronic neck, shoulder and back and I find much relief after these sessions. I would also say that I'm overall consistently feeling better.
He's also a wonderful person so I always enjoy my visits.
