The hotel wrongfully took over $300 on my credit card.

Back in May 12th, 2023, I had my credit card charged remotely for reservations I had canceled on March 2nd, 2023 (ie months prior to the applicable cancelation fee period). My credit card was charged not just once (1 night could have been explained as per in the cancelation policy fee), but twice, for a total of $317.39.
Working in hospitality as a Front Office Supervisor at the time, I kindly reached out in good faith, thinking it might have been an honest mistake or a system error that could easily be fixed. I tried texting through the Marriott app that evening, calling the day after, and finally resolved to email as I got no answer both previous attempts.
When emailing the property, I provided each dated cancelation emails as proof of the reservations having been not only canceled, but well within the free cancelation period.

However, all of my attempts to have my credit card refunded went first unanswered, then dismissed, and finally flat out refused, despite all of the written proofs provided.

$317.39 is definitely a lot for a stay that was canceled months prior within the free cancelation policy, especially for a hospitality employee salary. It does, in my vocabulary, corresponds to a theft, so I would highly not recommend this property 😅

Convenient location close to airport, but hot water wasn't working. Had to ask to clean our room and change sheets multiple times as the staff would not do so on their own. During one of the nights there were some very loud guests on the room next to us with full volume music at 1am and hotel staff took a while to have that taken care off. Cannot recommend.

Stopped in for one night to get something close to the airport since i had an early flight. Rooms were recently updated. Some details were neglected but I'm picky. The heating/cooling was horrible. Heat wouldn't turn on. Manager came up a couple times but got it to work. Set it to 72, but kept heating until it was 80. Set it to cool at 72 and woke to a 58 degree room. Needs to be fixed.

Hotel is older and more beat up than it looks in photos. They only had one luggage cart available and the wheels were broken. The fire alarm also went off in the middle of the night.

First, the good:

They offer a two level room with a loft, which was only a bit more than the standard room. It’s one of the most unique layouts I’ve ever seen and perfect if you have teens. It’s like they have their own room, but it’s connected by a staircase. Full bath upstairs, half on lower lever.

The location is great and you can get into the city in 20 mins and to Silicon Valley in 35-45.

Parking, while not free, is plentiful.

Great smart TV. Loft rooms also have a bar and powder room. Almost like a small apartment.

Staffers were polite and attentive.

Rate was really good.

Now, the bad:

The first room they gave us was a disaster. It hadn’t been cleaned entirely and there was trash everywhere. Furniture was old and scuffed. Tub wasn’t clean. They did quickly give us another room that was much better.

This isn’t a new property, in fact it’s quite old. It’s been renovated but the bones of a 30+ year old property show themselves at times.

The elevator was small and slow.

A/C is loud AF.

Our room was supposed to be cleaned one day (called ahead and everything) only for us to return after 10+ hours out and find it untouched.

No microwave in room.

Lighting is antiquated and dim.

Overall, a unique hotel if you’re staying for the loft ONLY, otherwise pick something newer.

Stayed for a night between flights. Close to airport and easy to get to on 292 SamTrans $2,52 from airport.||Friendly staff, not glamorous but absolutely fine. Rooms tidy and clean. Triple glazing keeps highway noise well out. ||More noise from neighbouring room or hallway.||Beds soft and comfy.||Easy to use coffee machine.||Big tv!

Good location. Best part of the stay was Sean L behind the bar. Great energy and provided exceptional customer service. Would come back to this hotel because of the experience he provided.

Although this hotel is super close to the airport the Uber prices would say other wise. It was $41 to get here on a Thursday night at 11 pm. There is absolutely no sound insulation. Can hear everything in the hallway and upstairs. COULD NOT SLEEP ALL NIGHT. If you’re not a heavy sleeper or you value your sleep GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
