New ownership, new look, BETTER tasting food. The Manager and his wife are very pleasant people and made sure our meal was everything we asked for. I ordered the Pork Carnitas and my Husband got the QuesoBirra Tacos and it was VERY delicious! Whoever the new cooks are really know what they're doing!

MI JALISCO in Andalusia, Alabama, delivers an enjoyable Mexican dining experience with some standout highlights.

The Carnitas were absolutely incredible—tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. They’re the kind of dish that keeps you coming back, setting a high bar for what carnitas should be.

The chips and salsa, however, were more middle-of-the-road. They served their purpose as a starter, but didn’t particularly stand out.

What really enhanced the experience was the service. The staff were extremely attentive, ensuring that our needs were met throughout the meal.

Overall, MI JALISCO is worth a visit, especially for the Carnitas and the friendly service. It’s a solid choice for a satisfying meal in Andalusia.

We were in the area decided to try this restaurant due to its reviews. The way they decorated and it looks like they redid the restaurant and it is quite lovely and I have to say it was very clean which is a huge problem in restaurants today so absolutely thank you for having a clean restaurant. Me and my family loved our food. Service was very good. The only issue I had which is not that bad of an issue was that most of the waiters and waitresses did not speak English or understand what we were saying which was odd. But we worked through it those that did speak English inside the restaurant helped and everyone was very, very nice and very helpful so when we’re up in that area again cause we live in Florida, we will definitely visit this restaurant again. I just really hope that the workers in that restaurant came here legally and not illegally like the situation We’re living through right now. But again very nice.

The food is presented masterfully and tastes good. Large servings. The chips are thick and over-toasted, and the salsa is tomato sauce with glimpses of cilantro and onion.

Very clean, fast service, attentive but not annoying. Food was excellent, not the standard Mexican restaurant, this place goes above and beyond. I rarely give reviews. I will certainly be back when I have the itch for really good Mexican food.
