I liked the atmosphere of this restaurant. It's pretty quiet and simple. Please keep in mind that I am Indian and a vegetarian, so I will be providing a review on vegetarian food. It looks good, but it doesn't taste like what it looks. I've had much better Mediterranean food at various places than here.

very friendly, helpful staff/owner. they were happy to answer all of my questions and even described each dish and its main ingredients. they offered free samples of a few things when i mentioned i hadn't heard of the place until recently--thank you Google Maps for the suggestion! i loved the chicken shawarma and the complementary lentil soup (dine-in only). I can hardly wait to go back to try the salads. hubby wasn't as pleased with his chicken falafel sandwich. he said it tasted a bit burnt. I think i will trade my leftover half with his for dinner tonight. this place is clean, no odors, wheelchair / scooter / walker friendly (i didn't check out the restroom though).

They must have a new owner. The food was GROSS. I have loved this place for years but haven’t been in a while because I moved. The food was disgusting!! I ordered the falafel plate and the falafel were tiny and light colored. Didn’t come with tabouli like usual, but a nasty wilted salad. The pita was dry and the hummus was okay but covered in clear oil, not olive oil. They also wouldn’t give me a glass of water in this 100 degree heat which was bizarre. I haven’t seen the people working there before so it must be new ownership? AND they didn’t have the chicken shank on the menu anymore.

I used to really enjoy the food here although and the owner was very friendly man ..However it appears to be permanently closed now.. Im not 100% certain , but it hasn't been open in weeks...Definitely call ahead if you plan to go!

I recently dined at the Mediterranean Family Restaurant in Citrus Heights and we had a pleasant experience overall. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home.

The food was good and had a nice authentic Mediterranean flavor to it. However, we did find that the rice served with our dishes was a little hard. Aside from that, everything else we ordered was delicious and satisfying.

The service was excellent, with our server being attentive and accommodating to our needs. Overall, we had a great time dining at this establishment and would definitely consider returning in the future. It's a nice family-owned spot that serves up some tasty Mediterranean food. I'd recommend giving it a try.

Family Restaurant Mediterranean Food is an amazing place. I have been there multiple times for different occasions, and I ordered a take away too. All the food is authentic and delicious. The staff are very professional and welcoming. They are generous too. I know I will go back with no doubt 👌🏽
