My favorite venue! I had the pleasure of being the Raue Center 2023 Photography Fellow and it was such an amazing experience. The talent and artists that perform at this historic venue are truly amazing. The sound is known to be one of the best in Chicagoland and the starry ceiling is mesmerized. It’s one of the only remaining theaters that have it. This theater is a gem in downtown Crystal Lake, so if you haven’t been, please go and support these amazing people. The volunteers are aways smiling and are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.

First time at this theater and enjoyed the whole experience! The theater was lovely and the seats were comfortable. Masks were needed to enter. Staff were friendly and helpful. Drinks are available to purchase. Bathrooms were clean and enough stalls to accommodate patrons. Came to see a tribute to Joe Cocker and Aretha Franklin and they were fabulous! Hope to come back again soon

Awesome little venue. Still has the vintage design. Nice lighting. Show started pretty much on time after a 5 minute commercial monolog by the manager voicing up-and-coming events. Exit could've been expedited better, but all in all, a delightful place.

I’ve seen several things at the Raue Center and have always found it to be a great venue with quality entertainment.

The quality of their musicals is exceptional, and I have always enjoyed their shows are well cast. The downtown Crystal Lake area is lovely, and has some great restaurants, as well as other activities, and shops. The location of the theater itself makes it perfect for a date night, or an outing with friends.

Most recently, we caught #Greenroom , an improv comedy sports group that have a regular monthly gig at the Raue. They were hilarious and we will definitely be making it out to see them again.

An amazing venue for live performing arts. I love the twinkle lights in the ceiling and the beautifully restored interiors. The lack of echo in the theater gives it a much more intimate feel. I've seen quite a few national and local shows here and it's one of my favorite venues.

We went to see Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Musical yesterday. I was so impressed by the young actors. They were all just wonderful. It was a great show for families to see. The set was quite impressive too. It was our first time at this theater. But definitely not our last. It's a lovely theater, not a bad seat in the house.

Very nice facility, small enough that you have a great view from anywhere. The rows are a bit tight so be mindful of how big of a jacket or purse you bring. The sound in the building was great for the performance I saw. The staff did a great job moving everyone through the photo opportunity after the show.
