Great hotel/spa. But your access to the pool ends at checkout. Inconvenient for guests.

Replying to the Hotel manager response:

It’s not confusing for me as to how your business charges for the pool access for guests only. As a matter of fact, charging guests that stayed in the hotel for the same day they checked out to use the pool is tacky. Guests must check out by 11, which is the norm. Asking guests to pay to use the pool after checkout, regardless of not being an option for non guests is a different discussion.
The room is vacated by 11 to prepare for incoming guests but the pool access doesn’t interfere with preparing the facilities for incoming guests, you’re just trying to get more cash from people that chose to stay at your hotel. I costs you absolutely nothing to let guests stay in the pool after checkout. There are many options in Calistoga…

Didn't stay in the hotel this time. Just enjoyed the pools while a friend had some of the spa services.

The place is kept nicely. Inside and out. The pools are fantastic. The size and temperature variations are just right.

My hubby and I stayed in the hotel and enjoyed services here something like 10 years ago. We were comfy in the rooms but the spa service is what blew our minds. I remember we did a late night mud bath and massages. We have had many massages in our days but the masseuses we experienced were A+++!

We felt their intuitiveness for our body's needs. The pressure and methods were unbelievably perfect. The best we'd EVER had which was beyond our expectations.

This time, my friends feedback was similar. She's also a well experienced massage client.

It's a great experience, I recommend it!

I love this place and have been coming for many years. Their pools are lovely and comfortable and very enjoyable.

My only complaint is that they've raised their prices to an unreasonable level now. I was there on a VERY quiet Saturday and Sunday night in early December, which is a very quiet time overall in Calistoga and yet the room was almost $500 a night. Since I've been coming consistently for years, I've noticed the price increases and this most recent one (over the last 1-2 years) seems unreasonable.

I will likely not be able to come for much longer if I'm going to pay so much for the off season, let alone come during any other time of year. I hope they realise this or they will lose many more customers who can't afford extravagant prices for the experience.

Arrived a few days before Thanksgiving so it has rain shower on and off. A lot of patio furniture and charcoal grills. Has an upper lounge outdoor lounge. I anticipate this place gets crowded during warm season. Lap pool is coldest around 80 degree. Lounge is about 95, adult pool is hottest. Large fit pit. Room has kitchen, microwave and fridge.

This hotel is family/kids friendly at 100% - kids ride scooters around facility as early as 7:30 AM, next door neighbors leave speakers outside with music on. As long as you like to relax in loud environment - this place is for you!
All walls need better insulation as you can hear every single step and word until whatever time the neighbors feel like!!!
Sad part -none of this is posted anywhere on website -you would know in advance and think twice.

This is my third time staying at Calistoga Spa Hot Springs and I have enjoyed every visit. Calistoga is a nice little town with everything you need for a getaway with shops and restaurants. The hot springs are just a block away from it all. My only complaint is that the rooms are pretty tight for space (we were in a queen room). They have a nice little kitchenette with some dishes and utensils including a wine opener and glasses!

If you like indulging yourself into hot or warm waters, this place is for you. There are four pools there. The owners of the hotel claim that the water is mineral. The pool water temperatures varie from 104 to 85 F. One of the pools is regular swimming pool. You can have a good swimming workout there if you are a swimmer. The rooms have a kitchen, so you can prepare food there. The location is in the Calistoga downtown. It's one of my favorite places.

Beautiful, tranquil classic slightly off the beaten path, well worth it with friendly staff and variety of healing modalities. Cool, warm, hot whirlpool and kiddie pools with gorgeous scenic mountain backdrops so marvelous. Have been enjoying spa services there for years, love the mud detox, mineral bath, wrap treatments soften you up for the finale massage. A real treat of a healing retreat.
