The massage was awful, $250.00, less then 40 min. There was no method or relaxation. The room was tiny and compact. The floating room was like a cold ugly surgery room. I was very disappointed in the quality of service. For all the ads, this was a complete let down and a waste of 500.00 for sure. 😒

This is the review for the spa. While the spa does have a full suite of facilities, it was a bit smaller and a bit more dated than I had expected, as well as limited outdoors / view from the spa. Massage was also just average. Overall, still a solid option but felt a bit overpriced for what it offered.

It was relaxing. Definitely recommend any of the massages especially if you can get one near the end of the day. It’s very expensive but this is the only spa I’ve been to, so I can’t compare it to anything else. The pool was warm the different rooms like; ionization, steam, and sauna were great. I don’t know what the whirlpool does but tried and it was nice.

I got a Thai massage with Joseph, and it was a truly euphoric and healing experience. The spa itself has an incredibly zen ambiance, with delicious scents of cedar-eucalyptus and mellow vibes to instantly calm & center you. The entire staff, from Haylen who helped check me in to the owner Greg, I felt so cherished, important and cared for. The little gifts of chocolate, warm tea, lucious robes and much more…. Spa by the Sea has thought of everything so you really need for nothing. I left feeling absolutely divine, both inside and out, and am already planning my next visit🙏🏻🌺 Highly recommended.

We had a group of us stay at the Inn at Spanish Bay Resort at Pebble Beach for a weekend to celebrate a friends' 50th birthday & as a treat for the ladies, we opted to get massages here. I enjoyed the facilities and they offered a nice selection of bites/drinks but I went primarily for the massage and the massage I received from my massage therapist (with initial "J") was very disappointing and did not reflect the $300+ for the service. I asked for a deep-tissue massage but walked away feeling like she did not put any effort into actually performing the work of massaging or giving me the deep tissue massage. I made several attempts to make suggestions to no avail & walked way feeling cheated of my time and experience. I expect a place like this should qualify their massage therapists and make sure the best performing massage therapists remain.

As avid spa-goers, I have a lot to compare it to and I have to say my first and o my visit was a disappointment. The spa itself is fine. It a nice resting area with a fire pit in the middle that was good when I went since it was empty but it has a ton of chairs so it would not be as nice if busy. What I noticed is sparse water/tea offerings, kind of neglected and minimal snacks eg nuts. No iced tea and the hot tea was at a weird sink with tea bags that just didn’t feel luxe. There was a nice spa menu (available online) with enough offerings for everyone- smoothies, night bites and more substantial items. The food items were average in taste and quality. There was a small room with four zero gravity chairs to recline with your feet above your head if you choose. In the waiting area, there are coloring pencils and pages with designs to color as a meditative, relaxing thing which is a nice touch I have not encountered anywhere else. Locker room is attended somewhat and the lockers are ample with a small amenity kit which was a nice touch. The real downside here was my service. I got a body scrub and massage and I was unfortunate to get paired with the worse therapist I’ve ever had. Not friendly, gruff and so bad I could not even enjoy the treatment. I’ve had mediocre massages but this was horrible. It ruined the entire day and left a bad impression. I usually don’t give bad feedback- I just don’t return, but I did end up giving feedback upon checking out and they did their best to rectify the experience, so I do appreciate managements actions. I think with a great therapist, this could’ve been a place to come back to and worth a try but I did want to give a complete review. This isn’t a spa in a strip mall, for this category of spa, we were left disappointed.

Overall we were sadly disappointed by our experience at the spa. The accommodations were nice but dated, the staff kind but overly present/doting, and the masseuses earnest but quite inexperienced and ineffective.

We were mainly disappointed by the quality of our massages: my mother, partner, and I each got one, which cost well over $1,000, which felt quite unfair for the quality of service. The steam room was also broken. We also heard the staff complaining about working conditions, which definitely broke the magic.

We came to The Spa at Pebble Beach looking for an oasis and some recuperation in the midst of some trying times. And to be honest, if we hadn't been so beaten down, we would've asked for a refund.

I was given a facial as a birthday present, it was the best one I've had in my life! When I walked in the door, the front desk greeted me warmly, and the feeling of the whole building is that of calm. Afterwards I relaxed in the Himalayan salt room, which is supposed to release tension.
With that and the facial...bliss!
