This is a small Lebanese joint with a busy oven. It’s technically a bakery. It’s like you went to the Middle East in a Beirut neighborhood or Egyptian or Saudi strip mall. The food is traditional Lebanese and has an Arabic influence. Pies, veggies and lebnah, very tasty at great prices. This is a rare find and I think for Claremont it’a a beauty to have such a rare shop in its back yard.

Best Lebanese bakery. One of the vew few places that EVERYTHING on their menu is just great. From Manaeesh to minis to Safayeh, foul or msabaha. All fresh and great quality. One of my must go places when I am in the area.

Al-Amir Bakery is a bakery in Claremont for Lebanese / Mediterranean flat bread. Flat Bread is a popular Levantine food consisting of dough with toppings like thyme, cheese, or ground meat. Similar to a pizza, it can be sliced or folded, and it can be served either for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We went to this bakery on September 13, 2019. The ambiance of the bakery was calm and quiet. We ordered ZAATAR (Dried Thyme, Sumac, Sesame Seeds, Olive / Vegetable Oil) and SOJOUK (Ground beef, Special Spices, Crushed Pepper). The price of the food was really cheap. We waited 15 minutes to get our food. ZAATAR was average but SOJOUK was so good!!! The overall service was also good. Hopefully, we will come here again.
