Nice walking trails thru a mixture of locally grown plant life on display that visitors can associate with. All in all, I found the self-guided pathways to be an enjoyable exercise adventure confirming botanic references!
I wasn’t sure what to expect, as with public gardens, they typically tend to be beautifully decorated with flowers, plants and trees, offering different varieties of popular horticulture. This particular garden is known for its local Southern California variety.
Since my visit was at the supposed end of an historic drought, it seemed a challenge for operators to find common ground irrespective of seasonal changes. While some off-trail areas were appearing a bit dry and lifeless, the desert garden aspect was reassuring of the possibilities that may exist with drought tolerant gardening!
It would be interesting to see the contrast with rain soaked soil and the adaptation to changing conditions!

It's a truly hidden gem near the Historic Route 66. We came for a wedding party and stayed in the nearby Double Tree hotel. In the morning we decided to take a walk from last night's big party. The hotel staff recommended that we visited this Botanic Garden. It's really a great experience to take a walk in the quiet natural garden. We will definitely recommend it to anyone who visits the nearby region.

It was a $10 entry fee which isn’t so bad. This place was so beautiful! I was there for about an hour an a half and still had so much more I did not get to explore. Definitely need to come back here and finish my journey.

My sister and I visited for the first time this week and it was a wonderful experience! It's such a comfortable and relaxing place to visit. I absolutely enjoyed being here and I hope to have lots of future visits!

It's such a beautiful place. My wife and I spent a couple of hours exploring and still need to come back to see the rest. It's a way bigger space than we realized, which was awesome. There are plenty of bathrooms and water stations as well as a good amount of shade and benches. It's really cool to see so many of our native plants and ecosystems. There was even a wedding taking place when we visited today. They have the garden broken down into categories of natural ecosystems, and the bird and butterfly garden were my wife's favorites. Can't wait to come back!

The California Botanic Garden was a beautiful getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Each section teaches visitors about the different types of plants and trees found in the region. The garden is organized by plant categories, which helps visitors visualize how they may see some of the plants in the wild. The trails were well maintained too. While we visited, several weddings were happening at the same time, so it seems like this could be a beautiful and unique wedding venue as well!
