During a recent visit to Clovis, CA, our hunger led us straight to Italian food, and Di Cicco’s seemed like the perfect choice.

The restaurant wasn’t very busy when we arrived, but we had to wait a few moments before the hostess emerged from the back where she appeared to be handling a to-go order. Once she returned, we were seated promptly.

Our waitress, while quick and efficient, seemed a bit rushed and perhaps a touch curt—understandable, given that it was the day before a holiday.

Now, let's talk about the food. It was solid, though not extraordinary:

Caprese Salad: The cheese was quite firm, almost reminiscent of chicken at times. There wasn’t quite enough balsamic vinegar, but the overall flavor was still enjoyable.

Chicken Parmigiana: Flavorful, delicious, and hearty—definitely a filling option.

Spaghetti Limon: Tasty and well-executed, though the artichoke hearts had a canned taste and could’ve been chopped smaller. The chicken was tender and flavorful, which helped elevate the dish.

Calzone: Unfortunately, this was a letdown. It was quite dry and difficult to cut, even with a knife. On a scale of 1 to 10, I’d rate it a 3.

Cheese Garlic Bread: A standout. It was excellent, and the marinara sauce had a delightful kick to it.

We also ordered a glass of wine, which the server forgot at first, but it did arrive just as we were getting our bill.

The prices were reasonable for an Italian meal, and the service, while not exceptional, was adequate. The restaurant itself was clean and welcoming, with food that ranged from impressive to mediocre.

Overall, Di Cicco’s is worth checking out, though your experience may vary.

I was craving lasagna al forno and they have had it on their menu since I was 17 and worked as a pizza delivery guy for Tony and Pamflo for six months or so back around 1973. I still hear Pamflo giving me the directions to the next delivery by saying...You know Millbrook?
They showed me how to make a deep fried calzone after letting me make it myself as they watched. Great memories and awesome Italian food here in California.

I was attending my 2024 company Christmas celebration, on Friday the 13th (not superstitious lol).
I chose the Lasagna, and it was the perfect portion for my voracious appetite. The many cheeses were melted throughout. The pasta was perfect, and the sauce...... slightly acidic making my mouth water at first sight. Everyone else in our group was extremely satisfied with what they ordered. Most had to take a box out containing their leftovers. I ate everything but the plate, no box for this guy. When it came time for dessert I ordered the bread pudding, I love my bread pudding. A size comparison would be about as big as an average man's fist, then topped with vanilla ice cream. It was toffee flavored throughout, extra delicious, and slightly crisped on the outside. All in all the experience was amazing. DiCicco's has it all with large open dining areas. We had a group numbering about 20, no problem. Fast service, attentive, courteous, polite, professional, and on point. Parking was a bit tight on this particular day, but to be fair it was just before noon. I still found parking close by, a minute's walk.
I would highly recommend DiCicco's, especially this location in Old Town Clovis. No matter the occasion... the food, service, and atmosphere are a perfect match. Enjoy!

Save your money and taste buds and get real Italian food at Spaghetti Factory instead!

Do not recommend coming to this restaurant. My party had a horrible experience. Both of the pasta dishes lacked any flavor at all. The marinara sauce had no seasoning at all, it tasted like pure tomato paste. The spaghetti served at school cafeterias has more flavor. Also, do not expect to get any meat or sausage with your pasta. Both the meatball and sauce dish and the sausage and sauce dish literally come with just sauce and meat. Pasta is an extra charge that isn't even listed on the menu. Service was also quite miserable, waitress would get irritated when asking for simple things like extra bread and was never around, but made sure to be right at our table after we paid our check.
