The rooms are clean but their cable is down this time so far it seems like the air conditioner Works won't know 100% until I leave it on for a while hopefully the cable will be back up this afternoon I'm only staying here 2 days so I guess I can live with it

I never book less than a 3 star hotel, I expect a 3 star hotel to above average/descent when using a rating from 1-5. I have no idea of who may be rating Royal Plaza Inn over 2 stars. Unless I was given the worse room in the place, it isn't a true rating. This Inn cost $300.00 per night on Expedia!! The staff person checking me in was rude and debasing. She told me they take my credit card to insure I don't smoke in the room (I specifically booked a non-smoking room), steal something, cause damage, etc. Everyone knows that a card is required for security reasons. She didn't need to spell that out in a debasing manner. No elevator to the 2nd floor. We had to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs. The towels were rough and dingy and one set per person, no extras. The shower curtain was dingy with red stains on it. Thank goodness I pack soap. A used piece of soap was in the shower and one small disc was left on the sink. The shower fixtures were damaged and didn't work properly. There was no iron or laundry bag, if I needed one. The furniture, desk and bedside table had no hand pulls, and the finish was peeling. The curtains in the room was coming off of the rod. The refrigerator had no way of knowing it was running, and as I looked to see if it was plugged in, the area behind the cabinet was so dusty, you wouldn't want to put your hands behind it. No bathroom outside the rooms for patrons (I got there a little early and needed to use the bathroom before I could check in I had to go to a different public place). The walls showed the need for paint repair in certain areas. The TV remote was sticky. Every thing was very dated as if it was furnished from a second hand store. I reported this to the clerk at check out because I didn't want to be charged for something I didn't do based on what the clerk told me at check in. I could go on. I've given away furniture 100x better than this place had. When I entered the room, I thought, "They should pay me to stay here." In addition, to think she thought there was something worth stealing, is laughable. For the money, it was completely over priced. I won't go back there. My son and I were in the city for the Tennis Tournament.

No ac. Fourth night and still no AC, 118 degreess outside. I wish I read review beforehand. $100 deposit.
Flooring was OK shampoo and soap in good size room.. Pool was green. TV kept shutting off. Room good size, but hotel is kinda sketchy, seems abandonded, rear door falling off. Key don't work half the time . Don't go outside without your phone. Biggest complaint is very hot outside and broken AC. Refrigerator and microwave worked good. Sylvia was very helpful and gave me clean towels made sure I had soap and tp.

A little outdated but comfortable. The gentleman that checked me in was very polite. The rooms are clean. It's affordable and the pool and hot tub look really nice. 10/10 would stay again.

The one night I stayed was amazing!! The room was nice and clean and the over all hotel was just fun and cool. I also can’t stress enough how amazing the staff is there!! Specifically this young lady Kristen who saved my life today. Left something in my room and she I’m currently making sure that I get that back into my hands! She is doing this all on her own time too! So glad that human beings like this exist. Still in shock that she’s doing all this for me. You will be in great hands when staying here. Can’t wait to come back and stay there again.

Overall it was a nice hotel. The beds were comfortable and the pillows fluffy. We only stayed this weekend because of a booking error on our part. They wouldn't refund the mistake even though it was a month in advance. The room key stopped working and it needed to be reprogrammed plus the walls are thin so we could hear everything. No coffee makers. But the fridge worked and so did the microwave. The cable Tv was awesome. Overall I would stay again.
