We celebrated our child’s birthday here. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted so gracefully by Benedict. We got Signature King Suite : it is spacious but cozy, clean and complete amenities. Love it. Restaurant is nice. Kudos to Roy who gave our son a personalized birthday letter and a cider for me and my husband! We appreciate your thoughtful service. You went above and beyond ! Also to Jose who gave an excellent service too in assisting with our needs. All of the staffs especially valet drivers here were all nice and accommodating. Parking is very safe. Location is just walkable to fisherman’s wharf. We had an amazing experience!

Very frustrating experience. Arrive and there is no heat in the room and we were told the breakfast we ordered would be provided in the morning. The “heater” would not stop blowing cold air. I called several times the first night and even asked for a new room. I was told no and was given some very thin blankets. The next day we got breakfast and were charged in full because the front desk never gave us the coupon. We came back from exploring the city at 9pm and the room was 55 degrees because the “heater” was stuck on the cold setting. Finally they sent someone who could turn the stupid thing off but we literally shivered all night and they still refused to give us a new room. Next day “the acting manager” Mildred informed me she could only take a small percentage off the $900 dollar bill. Yup, you read that right, we paid a lot of money to freeze for two nights and be told “it was all they could do” and “I should be grateful for the discount “. Do not stay here, it was horrible. BTW the restaurant adds an 18 percent gratuity and the waitress got pretty snark when I did not add more.

We stayed at Hotel Zoe for a week as my husband had major knee surgery nearby. Due to surgery recovery, we required so many strange and demanding services but all of the staff, including Jose at the front and so many others whose names I have forgotten as well as valet, were so extremely kind and accommodating, going above and beyond, always asking how my husband's recovery was going. Location is great, just a quick walk to Fisherman's Wharf for great seafood, nearby a CVS and Trader Joe's for our recovery and in-hotel needs. Parking is quick, easy, and safe with valet. We utilized room service as well as the in-hotel restaurant, Pescatore, and their food was excellent. The rooms were clean and fully stocked and they were able to schedule room service cleaning around our PT sessions so that my husband could rest and recover, unencumbered by normal room service cleaning times. I was super nervous about staying in a hotel for surgery recovery but Hotel Zoe made us feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here for your San Fran stay due to service, location, and cleanliness, even if not recovering from a surgery!

I was supposed to stay here for 4 days and didn't make it for even 12 hours. I left early and paid 50% extra last minute for another hotel because it was that bad. The summary is that there is perpetual noise - particularly a grating buzzing noise in every room due to old bathroom fans that can't be turned off due to risk of mold (also not what you want to hear from a hotel). The noise was not only unpleasant, but made the room feel haunted. The staff was dismissive and unhelpful.

In more detail:
1) the bathroom fan is perpetually on, leading to a very bizarre and grating buzzing noise that isn't able to be turned off
2) when i asked the front desk about switching rooms (since at the time I had assumed it was an issue with just my room) -- stating that it was not only unpleasant but also particularly painful because it was making my tinnitus worse -- the manager at the front desk dismissed me. First, she told me that all the rooms were like that and that every SF hotel was like that - they all *needed* the fan on to prevent mold. When I insisted that the noise was a problem given my condition, she then told me she was going to ask an engineer to turn the fan off manually - when I pointed out that I didn't want to be in a room at risk of growing mold, she then said there was nothing that could be done. When I asked to end my stay since being in the room was intolerable, she kept arguing with me and insisted on charging me an additional $175.

If you want to stay somewhere peaceful, I wouldn't stay here.

Perfect location. Lovely hotel and I love the courtyard with fireplaces BUT the 'resort fee charge' is hefty. Would prefer that to be optional. Room is small but lovely and clean. Noisy aircon. Room was quiet other than that. Security deposit of US$100 EACH NIGHT is a huge disappointment. Not needed! I would recommend the hotel highly other than the hefty resort fees and security deposit. We paid about US$670 for 3 nights which becomes about $1000 in Australian dollars

Decent hotel, rooms very clean and always kept clean. It’s in a good location for Fisherman’s wharf area. The only thing that bothered us was the air conditioning unit is very loud and the amenity fee you have to pay at $35 usd per day, it should be optional as we didn’t really use any of it. I did like the crab plush toy on the bed on arrival, cute touch.

Stayed two nights. Great location, easy walking distance from Fisherman’s wharf down to Pier 33 and 39. Wonderful staff, especially the valets. We left our car parked in their secured parking lot and either walked, took the trolley, or used Waymo to get around. Felt good not to worry about our car. Clean nice room. Would stay again.

The location couldn't be better. The service is very friendly and were able to help with my bags before check-in and offered to get a car service for when I was leaving. I do think that the price is pretty high for only being able to get coffee and smores for limited hours of the day to be charged $40 a day. The bed was comfortable but strange that they didnt use a fitted sheet - only a top sheet on the mattress. The comforter was stiff and the furniture has scuffs/dents in it. The room and bathroom were clean but again, for the price I feel like it should be a little more. Overall happy with the stay but probably would chose to stay somewhere else next time.
