I recently stayed at Home2 Suites by Hilton in Azusa, California, and had a pleasant experience. The hotel is conveniently located just one block from the 210 freeway, providing quick access to nearby areas. The carpeted stairwells add a touch of comfort, and the travel gym is reasonably equipped. The staff was very attentive, enhancing the overall experience. Although the neighborhood is a bit rough, the hotel's security measures are adequate. The free breakfast is suitable for a quick bite when traveling. However, the air conditioner and refrigerator in my room were a bit noisy. Overall, it's a comfortable stay with good amenities.

I’m conflicted about leaving this review, but when an experience falls short in multiple ways, I feel compelled to share.

Upon arrival, the front desk manager falsely claimed that I had not checked in, despite the fact that I had completed mobile check-in through the HHonors app the night before and had confirmation to prove it. The selected room was out of order, requiring a reassignment—but rather than simply explaining this, the desk manager insisted I had not checked in at all. As someone with a background in hospitality, I know that room numbers can be adjusted even after check-in, making this interaction unnecessary and frustrating. It wasn’t until I requested to speak with the GM that the issue was finally resolved.

Unfortunately, the problems didn’t end there. Upon entering our "clean" room, we found a dirty sock next to the chair, requiring a call to housekeeping. Then, early the next morning, the bathroom ceiling started leaking—a major maintenance failure.

The property attempted to address these issues with 7,000 HHonors service recovery points and a promised room rate adjustment (which I have yet to see reflected on my credit card). At this point, I’m not inclined to follow up on it—not because of the money, but because the entire experience highlighted a deeper issue: poor management and guest service.

While I’m giving this property three stars because they followed through with the service recovery points, I expected much better from a relatively new hotel in a prime location. Unfortunately, the way this hotel is run appears to reflect the priorities of its ownership group, Fine Hospitality Group—focusing more on ROI and GOP than actual hospitality. Given that this is one of the only "decent" hotels near Azusa Pacific University, it’s a wasted opportunity. Sadly, I don’t see myself returning.

the hotel is good but very noisy.

The hotel is very clean, the staff are very nice and friendly, the breakfast is clean and tidy, you get all the services for the money you pay, but if you need to rest, I do not recommend it at all. The hotel is very noisy, there is a door between your room and next room, which I do not know what it is for?! You can even hear your neighbor using the toilet, talking, shouting, unfortunately the passengers in the next room were very noisy and had noisy children, and the windows are not double-glazed, and the noise of vehicles is very annoying. In short, the hotel is good but very noisy.

Everything was great, stay for a couple weeks for work. Love having kitchen during our long stays for work! Clean hotel, friendly staff, plenty of parking, convenient food locations close by.

Decent hotel, rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower pressure was horrible. Good luck washing your long hair. The free breakfast in the morning was ok until I opened up a carton of milk and upon chugging it down realized it was sour/curdled. Ugh, it was awful. Smell the milk before you start drinking it. Location was close to the FWY so that was convenient. If I had to go back to Azusa, I'd stay again.

It was a nice experience in this hotel, it is close to Arcadia, I enjoyed a perfect trip last weekend, the rooms are clean and comfortable, I like the free breakfast in the hotel. especially, I called a Acadia mobile massage nearby. that was really enjoyable. I definitely will be back.

They are just cheating customers to offer lower prices over non-refundable bookings!!!!!

I made a booking for 6 nights at the Home2 Suites by Hilton Azusa from July 14 to July 20, 2024, for a family trip. Prior to booking, I read customer reviews and felt confident about the facility. However, upon arrival, we were disappointed. The hotel room and amenities did not meet our expectations. the sofa bed was awful; nobody slept on it. My daughter cried to see the sofa bed, and the environment was so filthy. We promptly informed the front desk, checked out, and found alternative accommodation nearby. I have expressed my dissatisfaction to both Expedia and Hilton customer service but have not received a refund due to the non-refundable booking So be careful about this facility. They are just cheating with customers to offer lower prices over non-refundable bookings. I will avoid booking any Hilton facility for my future trips.

✋🏼🛑I DO NOT RECOMMEND✋🏼🛑Had such a bad experience staying here. I travel a lot for business and I mostly always stay in home 2 suites because I've had such great experience in the past I've stayed in the corona location, Vegas location, and I've always had great experience with our stay, but not this time. This location we walked in and there was a gummy bear on the floor, the couch looked dirty so I had to put a towel in order to sit down one of the washcloths had black stains like it must of been mascara. The bed was spring coils so it was noisy every time we tossed;which I was very surprised about because the other locations we've stayed at the beds were so soft and comfortable. The staff in the morning was not very friendly. Our checkout wasn't until 12pm and even though we had a no disturb sign on our door there was a knock at our door at 9am to ask if we were almost out because they had to clean😒 overall I would not recommend to stay here it isn't worth it for the $200 that we had to pay to stay here. And if youre asking why we didnt switch rooms? We couldnt becasue we were told that it was sold out and every room was occupied. we will definetly not be staying in this location again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone either. Save your time and go elsewhere if you'd like to have a comfortable better experience.
