This place may be older than I am, but that hasn't dimmed the beauty of this resort.... there's a beautiful little long boardwalk down to the river, and the water is clean and clear and cold in AUGUST. Also, there's an indoor and outdoor pool combo. The indoor is smaller and the walls echo something awful, but the outdoor is quite expansive and has a lovely raised patio and gazebo area. The cabins are like miniature houses, and will sleep up to 8, I think. They have 2 front entries and a back porch, with seating for up to 4 people and a table, in case you want to grill on the other side of the porch.

There's a guard on duty most of the time, but there's also a coded-entry gate to prevent vehicular incursion if the guard is away. It's SO quiet, even knowing there are LOTS of people nearby, you can still enjoy the sight of a squirrel on a tree, birds flitting about and singing, and loveliest of all, the sound of crickets singing you to sleep.

Sites are alright, a bit closer together than I'd like, but this was originally built in the 60-70s and rugs were much smaller then. They are doing some renovations and the river access is amazing. Private campground so you either have to be a member or sit through their membership sales pitch. All the member we talked to liked it, however it just didn't fit for my family.

Our family trip here has been fabulous. We brought our rv and even extended our trip here. Lots of amenities and things for children to do. We also bought a membership. I highly recommend you talk to Shelley if you’re interested. She was super friendly and walked us through every detail on our package.
Thanks Shelley.

This is a really cute campground. There is a lot to do it's a large place and the people are amazingly friendly, welcoming you to join all of their activities. Nearly every night including weekdays there is a group that plays cornhole at the pavilion and it's a lot of fun. However if they offer you a free weekend be prepared that you will get a sales pitch for a membership that is actually a pretty decent deal if you camp a lot

Our sales representative Cheyanne Centell was very knowledgeable and sweet. She presented the program with ease. Our site was not the best, but not any fault of hers. We really enjoyed our presentation and tour.

We were here for a membership promotion and camping. Our Tour Guide was Cheyanna. She was kind, pleasant and well informed of the program. We enjoyed our time with her and especially her personal interest in what was right and best for our lifestyle. Thank you Cheyanna! Great job and you’re an asset to the staff! Everyone was super nice and met great folks!

Part of Ocean Canyon, in general, not bad. They should stop advertising WiFi. Down maybe 5%, no data maybe 85%, works MAYbe 10%. Lots of people will not clean up after their dogs. Roads ARE bad.
Clubhouse and pools seem pretty nice, no Cafe any more.
OC needs to spend more making improvements, but chooses not to. That's a shame too, because it could be real nice.

This campground is run down and needs upgrades. Wifi is abysmal. Zero activities mon and tues. Cabin ac goes off every night and i had to go out and reset every night. Some amenities listed no longer exist or are highly unmaintained. Simple games like pool table have to be purchased. I wish i never bought the membership honestly
