I love the road but not the freeway! This wonderful motor lodge on Rt 66 has been here for years, and Cookie, the manager, is a delight! Its not pretentious, just clean, cozy, restful and friendly! I've stayed twice, this time for two nights because I hated to leave. Thank you Cookie, and Judy, I will be back!

Up until I was leaving the place was great. I've always wanted to stay here & it broke my heart when the owner started cussing at me because I was walking with my girlfriend who had come to pick me up. She had to use the restroom before we left (#1) & the old lady cussed me out saying obnoxious things & just very rude I still can't believe it. I wish the worst for her jobye

Very peaceful and pleasant to be here. I've stayed for a week now and for the price it's unbelievable really. Cleaning ladies are super friendly and management is helpful. Towels are not scarce and vending machine for ice plus the drink and snack machines are affordable and work! Smoking area is even well kept! Rooms are spacious and updated and the parking is easy and right by rooms. I will gladly recommend this spot to only my fave people because it's such a treasure I don't want everyone knowing about it ! Lol

Overall, I enjoyed my stay in this historic hotel. The location was awesome and I loved walking around North Beach during my stay. It was also an easy walk to the bus lines and cable cars. It's affordable and the rooms were comfortable and clean. My mom complained that our room was too hot, which it was, and they quickly moved us to a room with a window that opened to the outside. The shared bathrooms weren't too bad although crowded at times. This was second stay here and probably won't be my last.

What a fantastic place!||||"Cookie" is one of the nicest ladies you'll ever meet. What a sweetheart! She checked me in and saw to it that I had one of the quietest "bungalows" in the place. ||||Parking was very nice (and I felt that my Jeep was safe). ||||The room was better than expected at the price, and the ac blew very cold. Nice tv, great coffee and a very comfortable bed!||||Whenever I find myself in the area again, I'll definitely give "Cookie" a call and reserve a room.||||Very highly recommended!

With sudden changes that life can bring,I made the decision and took a risk and moved to Glendora,ca.I rented a room at the motor lodge on historical route 66.2 month's ago.||With short term stay in mind,I fell in love with location,mountains and the convenience of store's and shops close by. The swimming pool is not heated but clean and maintained often, The GM (Cookie) made me feel at home with her family spirit. Hskp staff is excellent and friendly! The rooms are immaculately kept, There are other long term stay's as well.Property is well groomed and most of all safe.I don't want to leave!!!

Great little motel. Reasonable price. Rooms are clean. Comfortable bed. Cute little swimming pool, they even let you use the outdoor gas grill. Really nice people in the office, very polite housecleaning staff. Can't say enough good stuff about 20th century motor lodge

I have never been to a better motel ANYWHERE! I can't say enough about this place! Going to stay away from home and not having the propiator talking down, yelling or giving off a bad attitude makes all the difference in the world to me. I love the hominess and peacefulness feeling this place has and I hope Cookie will always run the show here. Thanks for wonderful memories and always going above and beyond for the vacationers as well as us regulars. We love you and your terrific run establishment! No place like home!
