Absolutely delicious! I’m not usually even a BBQ fan, but the food here was so flavorful and all the flavors were so well-balanced that I may now be a BBQ lover!

We had the Big J sampler that comes with pork, chicken, ribs, and beef + the Mac and cheese, collard greens, coleslaw, and potato salad for sides. We also got a huge and tasty salad with grilled chicken and a side of fried okra. Everything was GREAT, I’d say the pork, mac and cheese, and the delightfully crispy okra were my standouts. The BBQ sauce is the perfect combo of tangy + slightly sweet and I really appreciate that
it’s not overly sweet like some other places! Definitely the best BBQ I’ve had and look forward to returning whenever I’m back in town 🙂

The BBQ is not the same! I ordered what i always ordered at the old location. I will start with the sides. I order coleslaw and greens. The greens were great , but I got a cup full of juice and hardly any slaw. I got brisket for the meat and this is where the real disappointment begins. It was so tough and chewy I couldn’t eat it. It wasn’t seasoned at all and it had no smokey flavor like it was cooked in the oven. It was covered it bbq sauce which I have never been a fan one, but it’s …BIG IF I go back I will ask for it without. I live in enterprise so to drive all the way to Elba and back for what I was provided. Was highly disappointing. The photo is what I’m throwing away.

Great people first of all! Don’t know any of them yet (new to the area) but SUPER FRIENDLY!!! Food is absolutely amazing!!! I hope this place flourishes and continues for a very long time! Great job to JJ’s Barbecue!!!
