We were here for an event at the Easton center and this was a super convenient location - close to the freeway and many food options. Free parking and breakfast and I found the breakfast pretty tasty (waffles and hot food!). The rooms all had full kitchens and were really big. My only reason this was a 4 instead of a 5 was that I found our shower had terribly low water pressure and the first night we had a lot of room noise (freeway and neighbors). Note the second night, we all slept like a log and didn't hear anything so it could have just been that first night. If the water pressure was fixed, this would be the perfect place!

I had the opportunity to stay at the Residence Inn San Diego Chula Vista for an extended period on two separate occasions—first in 2021 and most recently in 2024. Each time, I stayed for about two months, and I was consistently impressed with the level of service and accommodation provided by the staff. They honored my room location request, making the experience feel personalized and comfortable.

The hotel itself is located in a beautiful area with convenient access to nearby amenities, which added to the appeal. However, it’s worth noting that the Army National Guard has occupied the hotel extensively. Their presence includes leased vehicles around the property, shipping containers out back, and a headquarters set up in the conference room. At times, it can feel more like an Army barracks than a hotel, especially for those familiar with military environments. That said, I understand they have a mission to carry out, and the service members I encountered seemed professional and well-adjusted.

Overall, if you’re looking for a comfortable and well-situated stay, the Residence Inn San Diego Chula Vista is a solid choice. Just be aware of the military presence, which has been ongoing since at least 2021.

The room cleaning was not good. The pots was dirty and disgusting with food and lime stains. Even the employee told me that the stains were lime stains, not food stains. My first impression of this was so bad due to the dirty pots.

The breakfast was good. Most of all melon are prepared. Muffin was not too sweet, delicious.

Overall the customer service from Ro the front end manager calling us in advance, to Marisela house keeping (we requested the same person during our stay), and Della breakfast area was exceptional.

The construction next to the hotel was loud and the noise came through the air vent from the stove. We learned to tolerate the noise.

Positive: The studio suite was perfect for our stay. It felt like home. The front desk staff was incredible! We arrived 2 hrs early so they checked to see if a room was available and allowed us to check in early. The hotel and staff were wonderful. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The hotel itself is somewhat difficult to get into, made worse by the construction occurring nearby.

Stay here on a weekly basis now, and was extended during summer . Excellent location, especially to 125. Lots of restaurants local. Tucked in a corner area behind condos, nice and quiet. Rooms are standard Res Inn. Staff is A+. Pool is nice, grille works great for cooking, nice fire pit for hanging out. Laundry is coin (come on, update to digital!), but room and machines are kept up and clean. A+
