I recently stayed at the Baymont Inn in Florence, Alabama, and would give it a 3 out of 5. Overall, I got what I paid for, and it met my basic expectations. The bed was comfortable, and the room seemed clean — no sign of bugs, and the sink, toilet, and bathtub were clean. The staff in the office were friendly, and I didn’t feel unsafe during my stay.

However, there were a few issues. When we first arrived, the room had a very strong smell of cleaning chemicals, and we had to leave the door open for a while to air it out. The most inconvenient problem was the sticky floors. While I assume they were clean because of the strong chemical smell, the floors were so sticky that I had to wear shoes whenever I got out of bed, even in the middle of the night. Socks didn’t help, as they stuck to the floor too. It seems like either the cleaning solution wasn’t wiped off properly or the wrong type of cleaner was used for the floor.

Overall, it was a budget stay, and it served its purpose, but the sticky floors were a significant drawback.

For the price, Baymont by Wyndham is an ok deal. It's location is close to dozens of restaurants. It's quiet, right off the main road. ||Our room for 3 was smaller than other Baymonts we've stayed in, with 2 double beds instead of queens, but we made it work. The beds were very comfy and the pillows were just right. Shower pressure was outstanding! ||The staff was friendly, breakfast was decent, featuring the magic conveyor belt pancake maker! ||We had a few stinkbugs visit the room...they zip in when the door is open, so be on the lookout for them when it's damp and rainy.||Overall, for sleeping on the cheap, our stay was good.

This hotel is well priced, in a safe neighborhood and the rooms were clean,and comfortable enough. Breakfast was good. 2 fruit choices,, and coffee. It is supposed to be a smoke free facility. Check the rooms before you accept it , if that is important to you. The staff was great at finding me a smoke free room, I didn’t know booking with a 3rd party forfeited my Wyndham points for the hotel stay.

I retuned to Florence to celebrate our college baseball teams reunion. Because I am on disability I couldn’t afford to stay at the nicer hotels UNA suggested. Me and my teammates are Scott 60 years old. The Baymont was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at and being from Delaware, I’ve stayed at some pretty rough planes in NYC, Atlantic City etc. I have a spine disease and my fib was worried about getting an infection after a procedure I had last week, I thought what are the chances? Well my room was filthy, bugs, There was fevers on the toilet when I checked in and I don’t believe it had been dusted in weeks. I WOULD NEVER HAVE ALLOWED A FRIEND, FAMILY MEMBER OR ANYONE STAY IN MY HOME IN THAT CONDITION. I finally went to Walmart and bought cleaning supplies and cleaned it as best I could myself. The sheets were dirty and stained, the towels were dirty…it was a nightmare. I took pics that I’ve sent to the college, the Times Daily local paper and am going to call their corporate offices.
I think what makes me the angriest is that I wrote the manager two notes explaining my concerns and he/she never reached out to me.
SO DON’T STAY HERE, spend the extra money and stay at a clean hotel.

The staff was very kind and friendly. The rooms were very nice and clean. I recommend to anyone. My stay was excellent. Very quiet and very close to local stores. It is in town close to whatever a person would need to have. Thank you Baymont Inn.

Positive: I like the location and cleanliness of the room. Negative: A heavy rain caused the roof to leak and soaked the floor with rain water water all night long. We left the hotel early and I called back to notify the hotel of the leak. They told me that they appreciated my call and that they would notify maintenance.

The pool was permanently closed and had black slime.

The workout center looked fine through the window, but the grouchy front desk worker told me it was closed. I was already dressed for a workout.

He was really rude and looked like the tall guy of Penn and Teller. He told me to punch the ice maker, which hardly worked. “Just punch it.”

The shower had black mold. The bedroom smelled of stale smoke. There was a cup with dried crusted dip and cigarettes outside our room.

The breakfast was okay, the only redeeming factor. Although there was a sign posted not to take any with you. Screw that. I took an orange for later.

At least the neighborhood was safe,
despite the King of The Hill shirtless men smoking outside our room and sucking crawfish heads while sitting on buckets. Yep. You get what you pay for.

Also, my husband heard moaning at 5 AM from the hired lay next door.

Why have one hairdryer when you can have two?

With a chuckle and a sprinkle of kitsch, I can honestly say this is the worse place I stayed.

Stayed four nights while evacuating hurricane Milton. Great location, great staff, clean and affordable. Hot breakfast was a plus!
Close to Walmart, Target, Sam’s club, Home Depot, and so many fast food restaurants as well as dine in. Pet friendly which was a plus for us as we brought along our cat.
