This campground is an absolute gem. The location is perfect, the common areas are beautiful and thoughtfully designed, and there is so much pride of ownership. It's magical to camp under the trees and be able to walk to downtown Nevada City. And it's a bonus that the river and the lake are only 20 min away! It's also close to the trails surrounding Deer Creek in Nevada City. I haven't stayed in a glamping tent yet, but I have taken a tour, and they are beautiful and incredibly cozy if you want a bit of an upgrade. And there's a pool!! I will definitely be returning.

An absolute oasis. Such a peaceful place to visit. The grounds are well maintained and the facilities the cleanest I have ever seen while camping. I stayed in a glamping tent and it was perfect. The bed warmer was a very nice touch and I was thankful for it on the cold nights. The deck was perfect for my morning coffee and enjoying the peace and quiet. Very dog friendly. I would definitely go back and highly recommend.

The campground was immaculate. The location is ideal. It is a 1 mile walk to town. The facilities are really nice here. Having a fully stocked kitchen and a nice hangout area was great. Was nice not having to bring all of my cooking gear. I would definitely recommend the Inn Town Campground if you are looking for a really nice campground that is nestled in tall, beautiful trees close to town.

Pretty and convenient campsite with nice facilities. I was in Nevada City for a bike race and wanted to camp nearby. I didn't realize that "nearby" could mean basically in town! The location is super convenient, but it feels like any other more remote campground once you're inside. The bathrooms were super clean, the campsites were nice and roomy, and they had some nice facilities, such as a store and kitchen area. It's also right beside a cute railroad museum and a short drive or even bike ride from Nevada City downtown, which has great shopping and restaurants mixed in with lots of cool gold rush era historical buildings.

Like anything, it wasn't perfect. Being close to town, there was loud music at night from a venue not on the campground, but it ended at a somewhat reasonable time (9:30 or 10ish, if I remember correctly) I had a nice conversation with one of the managers about it the following day, and it's not a common issue, and they're addressing it with that venue. Also, it's not the cheapest as campsites go, but still a lot cheaper than a hotel, and a lot more relaxing. Finally, campfires are limited, but you can rent a fire setup if desired.

All in all, a nice place and definitely worth a look. Nevada City was a great place overall, and this made for a nice blend of camping in the trees but with lovely restaurants and shopping not too far away. It's somewhere I'll definitely look to go again.

I highly recommend this place! It is a family-run business, and you can feel how much love and effort Dan and his wife put into it.

Just a 20-minute walk to all restaurants and Nevada City activities

Clean toilets and showers

Large, clean sinks for dishwashing

Plenty of space between campsites, providing privacy—a great plus

Very friendly and caring staff

You sleep under beautiful pine trees

Convenient office hours

A well-stocked shop with essential items

The owner, Dan, quickly helped us resolve a propane gas leak, and we can't thank him enough for that.

We will definitely come back!

This place to draw near to Mother Nature is amazing! Such a well run, clean campground. Beautiful park to walk your best dog friend right here! Awesome. Very kind hearted and professional folks work here as well. The glamping tents look fabulous. Hope to come see you again!

Really loved our glamping here at Inn Town! They were so sweet and helpful checking us in and wow the facilities blew us away. Huge kitchen fully equipped, outdoor shower and everything so clean! Highly recommend them. We stayed in #13 and I loved the bed warmers 🥰. Really close to the town and best river spots. Thank you for the lovely stay ☺️🙏

The crew at Inn Town Campground is fantastic. They graciously support us in Troop 24 by hosting our yearly scout cookoff. The kids had a blast and we are so grateful for their support of local youth!
