We loved this place! It was like stepping back in time. A very homey and peaceful place. Quiet no traffic noise. Inn keepers were very friendly and directed us on the best time and place for the aurora. Highly recommend, clean, quiet and friendly staff. It's not the Ritz with glitz and glam, it's a down home country feel with peace and quiet. Close to many restaurants, and not far from North Pole Alaska.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Fairbanks and, unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience. The rooms had a strong, damp smell that made it difficult to breathe comfortably. The property itself is quite old and, sadly, not maintained well. The washroom handle was broken, which added to the overall discomfort. The lack of proper upkeep was evident throughout the stay.

I would strongly recommend checking the property in person before making a booking. This stay was far from the relaxing experience I had hoped for. However, I do give two stars for the customer service provided by the owner's wife. She attended to our calls promptly and offered us a cottage at 2494 Parks Highway, which was about five minutes from the actual property. Her efforts were appreciated, but overall, the stay was disappointing.

So far it has been a scam for me. I paid for a reservation, and I was never able to communicate with them to do the late checking that they said the special request could be made. and now that I arrived at the airport they don't answer me to know if I can go there or not. because even though I have already paid, they may not receive me and I am left doing something outside in the cold of Alaska while I find other accommodation.

The horror house is so filthy I would not even sit in the "fancy" upgraded jacuzzi tub...even after the owner sent up cleaners to release. Blamed yesterday's staff. Breakfast was different, but not a good different.||Access to our room was via a rickety, old fire escape. The room was furnished with an excess hodge podge of mismatched furniture. There was no place to set a suitcase on until we called for one, and then there was no place to put it.

I don’t understand the bad reviews people have left. Overall an excellent experience with excellent people. Very reasonable prices friendly folks and excellent breakfast. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. I’m at the airport after spending the night there and I guarantee 7 gables inn will be my first choice from now on

Very nice and helpful owners, a family operated establishment. Very accommodating ! This is an older Inn, very affordable , do not expect this to be a Ritz Carlton ! But do expect old fashion hospitality, and friendly folks. I see a lot a bad reviews posted here ,
Must be democrats posting those ! This a great place.

This place is the stuff of nightmares! It is so gross and outdated. We had to walk up about 50 steep stairs to get to our room, which was so unbelievably outdated and not clean! I can't imagine how people have given it 5/5. I'd hate to see their homes or where they usually stay. Yikes!!

Rickety old furniture, bathroom from the 1970's, threadbare sheets, just a nightmare. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy stay here. We were only there for 1 night and I was near tears. If we'd had a car, I would have slept in it. The owner was nice and that's about the only nice thing I can say.

Thank you for staying awake for us at 1:40 A.M and having a nice talk about the train ride that we were about to take in a few hours. What a nice way to spend a few quick hours after a twelve hour plane trip.
